In the food, wine and local specialities industry, meta ads & social advertising isn't a stylistic exercise: it's the tool that solves the real problems of your vertical. Here you'll find how we apply it specifically, what you take away, and how much it costs to get started.

Who it's for

The problems we see every time in the food, wine and local specialities industry

If at least one of these sounds familiar, meta ads & social advertising is the right lever.

Selling only through wholesalers, margin squeezed to 15-20%
Wine shipping handled badly, bottles arrive broken, no insurance
Labelling that doesn't comply with EU regulations on allergens and origin
Export blocked because the site is in Italian only
No product storytelling, the winery/company invisible online
What you take away

The concrete results

  • Server-side Conversion API setup (resistant to iOS 14, ad blockers, cookie banners)
  • Custom and lookalike audiences built on real customer data
  • Campaign structures by objective, budget allocated with logic
  • Brand-aligned video and static creative production with A/B testing
  • Structured retargeting on the real funnel (visitors, cart, checkout)
  • Monthly report on CPA and ROAS, not on vanity metrics

Frequently asked questions

meta ads & social advertising for a food, wine and local specialities: how long does a project typically take?

It depends on the scale, but for most cases we're talking about 2-4 weeks from sign-off to going live, content included. For complex cases (many languages, integrations with industry software) it can take 6-8 weeks.

Can I start even if I don't have all my content (text, photos) ready?

Yes. We offer copy support and image selection as a separate package, or we proceed with placeholders and swap them in along the way. The important thing is to nail the positioning before the design phase.

Can I update the site on my own after delivery?

Yes. We deliver with a simple editorial panel (organised by content type) and 2 hours of training included. For structural changes (new sections, new templates) we step in.

Does the site comply with food, wine and local specialities industry regulations?

Yes. For this industry we take into account: EU Reg. 1169/2011 (food labelling, allergens, nutritional values mandatory in Italian + the destination language). Wine sales: excise duty (Legislative Decree 504/1995), excise code for producers, stock register. EU export: OSS VAT. PDO/PGI denominations: usable only if certified by the protection consortium. Ban on selling alcohol to minors (the site must verify age). We always start from compliance, we don't add it afterwards.

Why does a food, wine and local specialities project cost more than a generic site?

The food, wine and local specialities industry requires specific features, regulatory compliance and an architecture that works for its audience. What's optional on a generic site is included by default here — and it's cheaper to do it right from the start than to fix it later.

Is the advertising budget included?

No. The monthly fee covers only the time we spend on management (analysis, creatives, optimisations, reports). You pay the media budget directly to Meta/TikTok/LinkedIn with your own card: full visibility on spend, no opacity. Recommended minimum budget for Meta Ads in Italy: 500-1,000€/month to start gathering useful data, 1,500-3,000€/month to scale. TikTok needs more (1,500€ minimum) to get out of the learning phase, and LinkedIn even more (2,000€ minimum) because click costs are high.

Is TikTok Ads worth it for my business?

It depends. It works very well for consumer-facing B2C with native video creatives (fashion, beauty, food, lifestyle, fitness): if your target is 18-35 and your product is 'showable' in short videos, then yes. It works poorly for B2B professional services, for over-50 audiences, and for products that need long explanations. In the initial discovery we assess whether TikTok makes sense or whether it's better to concentrate the budget on Meta + Google Ads.

Meta or LinkedIn for B2B?

LinkedIn almost always, if the ticket is high (>3,000€) and the decision-maker is identifiable by role/industry/company. LinkedIn is expensive per click (3-8€ vs 0.30-1.20€ on Meta) but its professional targeting is unbeatable and qualified leads come in. Meta B2B only works on low tickets (<1,000€) and products that convert even outside working hours. Typical rule: law firm, industrial B2B consulting, enterprise software → LinkedIn. B2B e-commerce with a catalogue, professional training → Meta + LinkedIn mix.

Do you produce the creatives?

Yes, in two ways. Base mode: we produce statics and short videos (15-30s) using your existing brand photos/videos + editing + our copywriting. Top mode: a dedicated shoot at your premises or an agreed location (quoted separately, typically 800-2,500€ per shoot day + post-production). For restaurants, fashion and beauty, a dedicated video shoot changes performance a lot: it's worth the investment if your monthly media budget exceeds 2,000€.

How long to see results?

Social platforms have a learning phase of 7-14 days during which the algorithm figures out who converts. First useful data: 3-4 weeks. Stable results and continuous optimisation: from the second or third month. Anyone promising 'leads from the first week' is either ignoring the learning phase or wasting budget with no strategy. TikTok needs an extra month compared to Meta because the algorithm is hungrier for data.

What's in the monthly report?

Total spend per platform, CPA per campaign and per objective, ROAS for e-commerce with integrated tracking, top creatives by performance, A/B tests run and their winners, the best-converting audiences, and the plan for the following month. No vanity metrics like reach, impressions and CTR without context: we explain what the business numbers mean and what we'll change the following month. Looker Studio dashboard accessible 24/7.
